Fetlework Balite-Panelo practices primarily in the area of general civil litigation. She earned her B.A. in Political Science in 1994 from the University of the Philippines, where she graduated class valedictorian and magna cum laude. She earned her law degree from the same university in 1998.
Ms. Balite-Panelo also has an LL.M. degree specializing in International Economic and Business Law from the Kyushu University Graduate School of Law in Japan, where she was a Japanese government scholar. In 2009, she earned her LL.M. degree with a certificate of specialization in Law and Business from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Ms. Balite-Panelo practiced law in the Philippines working in various capacities as legal counsel for Asia's largest public-listed company, as an associate for the Philippines' largest law firm, and as a legal specialist for the United States Agency for International Development. Ms. Balite-Panelo has been a member of the Tennessee bar since 2005.
