Emmerson Marlatt
Emmerson Y. Marlatt practices civil litigation defense. He is originally from Brighton, Michigan, and moved to Nashville in 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Pre-law from Michigan State University, as well as a major in Economics and a minor in History. He graduated from Belmont Law School in the spring of 2024 and sat for and passed the Tennessee administration of the Uniform Bar Exam in July of 2024. After graduating and passing the bar, Emmerson served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chancellor Howard W. Wilson of Rutherford County, Tennessee, from August 2024 until August 2025, when he joined Howell & Fisher as an Associate Attorney. Emmerson is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
