Although he is the first lawyer in his family, Sanderson is a third-generation University of Tennessee graduate and is an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. Outside of work, Sanderson enjoys rooting for the Vols and Tennessee Titans, golfing, the occasional pick-up basketball game, and reading primary and secondary historical accounts.
